Privacy policy
Based on Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the data protection provisions of the Swiss Confederation (Federal Act on Data Protection, FADP), every person has the right to protection of their privacy and protection against misuse of their personal data. We comply with these provisions. Personal data is treated strictly confidential and is neither sold nor passed on to third parties.
Processing of personal data
Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable person. We process personal data only to the extent required to provide our services (e.g. magazine shipping, prayer partner emails, donation administration), to communicate with you and to meet legal obligations.
Contact forms & registrations
When you use our forms (contact, magazine subscription, prayer partner), the data you provide (name, email, address where applicable, message) is stored to process your request. It is not passed on to third parties. You can request the deletion of your data at any time (info@youngstarsint.org).
Newsletter & magazine
For sending YI News (digital and print) we use your contact details exclusively for this purpose. Every digital issue contains an unsubscribe link; you can also unsubscribe informally by email at any time.
Donations
Online donations are processed via the service provider RaiseNow (RaiseNow AG, Zurich). The privacy policy of RaiseNow applies. For bank transfers we process the data transmitted by the bank for donation administration and receipts.
Cookies & tracking
This website does not set marketing cookies. For statistical analysis of usage we use the analytics software Matomo (self-hosted in Switzerland, without cookies, with anonymised IP addresses). There is no tracking by third parties such as Google Analytics.
External content
Our pages contain links to external services (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, RaiseNow). The respective privacy policies of these providers apply to their data processing.
Your rights
You have the right at any time to information, correction, deletion and restriction of the processing of your personal data, as well as to data portability. Contact info@youngstarsint.org for this. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (FDPIC, Switzerland).
Last updated: August 2026. We reserve the right to adapt this policy if our services or the legal situation change.
