October 4, 2025. On the way to Purtătorii de Făclie it looked like a cold day: snow-covered mountains, a clear sky. We had dressed warmly – after all, we would spend the whole day outdoors. The extra sweaters stayed in the car after all. Not only because of the beautiful weather, but also because of the warmth with which we were welcomed.
Smiles everywhere, and phrases like “It's been so long!” or “How have you been?” Then the celebration began – and what a beautiful one: an icebreaker game that filled the whole tent with the rustling of the colourful bags in our hands, all to Beni's rhythm. In small groups we got to know each other better.

I had the chance to meet people who had been part of the ministry from the very beginning. What amazed me was the perseverance and determination of those who believed in Micii Exploratori twenty years ago and carried the mission forward.
Photos were on display in the pavilion – pictures from camps I had attended myself, and pictures of people who had been my leaders when they were still teenagers on courses. Looking at them, I realised how blessed I was to have had such beautiful childhood experiences through Micii Exploratori.
We talked, took photos, ate desserts cooked over the fire, watched an exciting match and shared memories – just like friends do.
In the evening, we turned our eyes in worship toward the One who made everything possible. Daniel Horst shared an encouraging message. The celebration ended with a song whose lyrics say something like: “Looking back today and seeing all You have done – the numbers would never be enough to thank You.”
As the lyrics played, I thought about what it must feel like to look around and see nearly 200 people who share the same desire: to bring the gospel to the children of Romania. To stand before God after twenty years and thank him – knowing that the legacy left behind stretches across generations.
The evening did not end before we honoured those who have stood behind the ministry – the people behind the scenes who poured in time, energy and resources. October 4 was more than a celebration: an encouragement that God's goodness will continue.
